This bottle marks the beginning of the Syrahvolution.

Wine Notes: This 100% Syrah was born from a meticulous selection of grapes from Niagara vineyards, followed by 16 months of ageing in oak barrels. Complex character of bright red berry fruits with a savory background of smoky notes and cracked black pepper.

ICONOCLAST — BRAND STORY / PACKAGING DESIGN

Throughout time, there have been those that rallied against established conventions - those that have led the charge for change. They are known as ‘Iconoclasts’. This wine is symbol of an iconoclastic movement silently underway within the Niagara Peninsula, where pioneers of the vine have been partnering with visionary Ontario Sommeliers to bring standout Niagara wines to the collective consciousness.

2015 marked debut of Semillon in the everexpanding flock of delicious black sheep varieties.

Wine Notes: Iconoclast is produced in only the best vintages, showing the fruit of our labours: a complex, aromatic wine which delivers fresh flavour, bright acidity, and the unique character of our vineyards. Barrel-fermented Semillon makes an excellent dance partner, supporting & calming Sauvignon Blanc’s vibrant energy with full-bodied, lush texture.

This bottle marks the beginning of Niagara’s Sauvignon Supremacy.

Wine Notes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown on the winery’s estate vineyard in Jordan. The grapes were allowed extra hang time on the vines, then picked at the peak of varietal flavour expression. Cool fermented in 100% stainless. Fresh nose of citrus and tropical fruits with a balanced palate of ripe fruit, refreshing acidity and a complex note of minerality.

DESIGN SOLUTION:

The idea of the silent Iconoclast is expressed visually through large, bold typography applied in a raised transparent spot-varnish directly on the label, where only the word Iconoclast is printed with ink and embossed to allow it to standout — reinforcing the brand concept, and creating intrigue and a noteworthy tactile experience.
