Serious wines from an irreverant bunch™
OVERVIEW: CREEKSIDE ESTATE WINERY — REBRAND
A long and icy winter weekend visit to the winery, with the type of behind the scenes access normally reserved only to owners and the winemaking team, provided all of the ingredients essential to formulating a repositioned brand. An authentic persona rose quickly to the top: These are Canadian farmers - salt of the earth kindof people - bold, straight-shooters with a hearty appetite for innovation, and healthy doses of irreverence and wit. These are obviously new world wines (and many are award winners) — wines that have something to say. Winemaker Rob Power wasn’t named ‘Ontario Winemaker of the Year’ several times in a row on accident. These attributes manifest themselves via a bold identity rooted in modular woodtype lettering, and peppered with patina. The typography sits sideways (depending on your perspective, or how much you’ve had to drink) and the subdued color palette conjurs notions of the underlying layers of earth that fuel the vines themselves.
